Ben Moon Harder We Fall - Self Portrait 2
"This painting depicts the artist in their "happy place" deriving creative inspiration from the outside world safe within the sanctuary of their dreamspace.
On the other hand, there is a sense of melancholy as well, which comes with the realization that they are not fully participating in the "outer world" and remaining separate from the others.
The word at the bottom of the main figure is one of the 72 "names of God" from the Kaballah. It is about finding balance between the realms of Dream vs. Reality ... which is a constant struggle for the artist, who must move between the two. Neglecting either for too long is never a sustainable path."
