Ben Moon Quarantine Drawings - In the Land of the Blind the 3rd Eyed Man is King
Acclaimed multimedia artist Ben Moon takes on the quarantine, technology, racism, and the media in a set of pen and ink drawings that aim to pierce our cultural cataract and allow the light of our vitality to shine anew. In this series he skewers the evil, the ironic, and the absurd, sparing no illusion or ideology and yet he still finds a way to celebrate the spirit that rises above it all.
Printing details-- Acid free archival inks are used to print on 175 gsm Fine Art Paper with Matte Finish.
The image I see is a violent sea of information, the waters rising over the ideological levees which had been in place to organize our thoughts . It's a very uncomfortable feeling to be overwhelmed by this flood of information which comes at us faster than we can compartmentalize within the confines of our old thinking process. We feel as though we are drowning in it.
This is the next evolutionary bottleneck. The skill necessary to survive this flood is the same as those developed through meditation. The ability to spiritually float above these waters through our conscious connection to the source."
